Nikyokan 仁響館 – Casa de las artes escénicas japonesas

Esto es taiko

ESTO ES TAIKO began in 2009 as the first magazine outside of Japan devoted entirely to the art of wadaiko (Japanese percussion).

Its co-founders, Gastón San Cristobal and Alejandro Lezcano, following a taiko festival held in Buenos Aires (Argentina), were inspired and motivated to collect the photos of Alejandro (photographer) and a chronicle of the event that Gastón had written in order to produce a printed edition that would describe in detail that event in which the vast majority of taiko groups from all over the country participated and also the international presence of Marco Lienhard. Later, Paloma Lutzky Cogan joined the team, who also contributed photos of the event to the magazine, forming a team of three people.

Years later, the magazine, which had 4 printed editions, goes to blog format, as a more efficient method of publishing and also achieves a greater arrival because it is a purely online platform with quick access. Formally it would stop being a magazine to be a blog, but the essence of ESTO ES TAIKO will always be that of a magazine, so we will consider it that way when we refer to it.

All the material included in ESTO ES TAIKO arises from the ad honorem collaboration of the members of the global taiko community and/or any other person who likes to contribute to the cause with the aim of making it a free portal of high-quality information for everyone and where everyone also has the opportunity to contribute.

The engine of ESTO ES TAIKO has always been the passion of its members and the desire to spread and expand knowledge regarding the art of taiko and Japanese culture.

To achieve the objective that each article can be read in Spanish, English and its original language, two blogs will be running simultaneously:
